On stage at the Exprodesk eCommerce Bootcamp in Aruba

CX Pay took the stage at Exprodesk’s eCommerce Bootcamp, hosted by the Department of Economic Affairs, Commerce and Industry.

CX Pay

CX Pay was proud to take the stage at Exprodesk's eCommerce Bootcamp, hosted by the Department of Economic Affairs, Commerce and Industry. It is an event we have supported through years of collaboration aimed at helping Aruban entrepreneurs grow.

What the session covered

Our session explored how trust, accessibility and secure payments are what let a local business grow beyond its own borders. Each one depends on the others. A customer who does not recognise the checkout does not complete it. A customer who cannot pay the way they normally pay does not complete it either. And a business that cannot demonstrate its payments are secure will not be given the chance in the first place.

For an Aruban business selling online, the practical question is rarely whether to accept cards. It is what happens either side of that: how the customer is greeted at checkout, which methods appear, where the money lands, and what the reconciliation looks like on Monday morning.

Why we keep turning up to these

We have been building digital commerce in this region since well before it became a talking point, with payment solutions built here rather than adapted from somewhere else. Programmes like this one are where that work meets the businesses it is meant to serve.

The entrepreneurs in the room were not asking abstract questions. They were asking what it costs, how long it takes, and who picks up the phone when something breaks. Those are the right questions, and they are the ones we would rather answer in a room than in a brochure.

Next stop

We continued the week at the Aruba Trade and Industry Association's Expo, showing how CX Pay supports Aruban businesses and e-payment solutions across the island.
