Today marks 10 years since CX Pay processed its very first transaction. One payment, on one day, for one merchant.
What started there has grown into a volume-driven payment ecosystem. As of this milestone that represents 6.4 million transactions processed, over USD 662 million transacted, and merchants going live this month in our 31st market.
What 10 years actually built
CX Pay supports payments wherever transactions happen. That runs from secure gateway connections between banks, acquirers, processors and merchant platforms, through to Apple Pay, Google Pay, card network tokenization, point of sale, tap to pay, kiosks, unattended solutions and fully cashless environments.
The platform integrates deeply into real-world operations. That includes compatibility with property management systems across hospitality and leisure, and support for both online and offline payments at events, festivals, ticketing, donations and crowdfunding.
Why we count it this way
As a volume-based payments business we do not measure success by the number of accounts created. Anyone can open an account. We measure active merchants and real transaction volume, which means the merchant is live, transacting, and supported wherever payments actually occur.
That distinction matters. A payments company reporting sign-ups is describing its marketing. A payments company reporting volume is describing its business.
Thank you
To our merchants, our partners and our teams, thank you for being part of this. The first 10 years built the rails. The next 10 are about what runs on them.
