There is a category of revenue here that only shows up when nobody is watching. The visitor who parks at the marina at 10 in the evening. The tenant who runs a laundry load on a Sunday. The guest who buys water from a hotel vending fridge at 3 in the morning. In every one of those moments the merchant is closed, and if the payment cannot happen without a cashier, it does not happen.
Unattended payments close that gap. The category covers parking machines, self-service kiosks in restaurants and hotels, vending, EV chargers, laundromats, transit ticketing, ferry terminals, and any point of sale a customer completes alone. The common thread is that the reader has to work first time, with nobody there to help.
The hardware is a different problem
An unattended reader has to survive weather, salt air and a certain amount of abuse. The devices we deploy are rated for outdoor use, take chip, contactless and mobile wallets, and mount into a parking machine, a fuel pump, a kiosk enclosure or a vending unit. Contactless matters more here than at a counter, because a tap is faster and works even when the customer does not know the machine or is holding a coffee.
So is the payment flow
Card-present rules for unattended acceptance are stricter. The transaction has to authorise in real time, receipts have to be available on demand, and refunds and chargebacks depend on a clean audit trail from a machine running 24 hours a day. We handle the network certification, the tokenisation and the reporting. The machine does what it is meant to do, take the money, issue the receipt, log the transaction.
The commercial case
A parking machine that takes contactless captures sales that a coin-only machine loses outright, because customers who have no change simply leave. A self-service kiosk shifts a share of orders off the counter, shortens the queue, and tends to raise the average ticket because people add things they would not have asked a cashier about. A vending fridge that reads a tap earns money instead of standing there decoratively.
The infrastructure sits on the acquiring relationship you already have. Your local bank remains the acquirer and holds your funds, exactly as with attended payments. Whether it is 1 kiosk in a hotel lobby or 20 parking meters across a town, the reporting rolls up into one dashboard.
Unattended is not a niche here. It is often what turns a 9 to 5 business into a 24 hour one.
